Am I wearing this carrier correctly?

I feel like her upper body is way too far from me, but this carrier is as tight as it can go. Am I doing something wrong? Or is this how it's supposed to be?
This is the Chicco Ultrasoft Infant Carrier, for reference.

The legs should be like the image on the right. Dangling legs is bad for the hips

That carrier is designed to have the legs dangle. Some people don't like having the legs like that, if that bothers you, you can look up "baby bjorn scarf trick." Her head should be close enough for you to comfortably kiss.

Can you kiss her head? If not, she should be higher up. Also, her legs should be in a seated position, not dangling straight down.
