High bilirubin levels ....
Anyone else dealing with jaundice and high bilirubin levels? My daughter is 6 days old and yesterday at her first week check up the dr thought her yellow tint was enough to send us for lab work. We got home only to get a call that her levels were 20 which is high, and that we needed to take her to the hospital.
We have been admitted and she's been under the UV lamps all night and she's getting IV fluids in addition to help flush it out. I'm so upset bc when she was born and they screened for it she was fine, so NO ONE told me the dangers of not putting her in the indirect sun light when we got home. For those of you who delivered end of June or early July make sure you expose your baby to lots of indirect sun light and keep a close eye on any yellow tint your baby may develop, even if it wasn't an issue in the hospital. Praying her levels go down and we are able to go home today! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
