Pro-Life Birth Control??

**Please No Hate** I'm strongly pro-life. I have nothing against condom use, its just when the egg and sperm meet, I believe is when life starts. Well, I want to start birth control and you ladies are most likely more educated than me and I was hoping you could give advice of what birth control to be put on that DOES NOT terminate what could be a baby. Is there anything for this? Please don't bash my beliefs, I'm just looking for advice.

No birth control does that. It prevents you from ovulating in the first place. Even plan b does not terminate a pregnancy, the only thing that terminates a pregnancy is abortion. You should make a doctors appointment and he/she will put you on a pill that they think is best for you.

No birth control, not even Plan B can terminate a pregnancy (even by your definition). They stop ovulation from occuring. If they stopped pregnancies then people would never wind up having a baby while taking them. They are only 98-99% effective.

All of the common "pill"s do nothing once sperm and egg meet. The estrogen-progestin pills that women take every day only prevent an egg from ever being released and then the  cervical mucus to keep sperm out of your cervix. If an egg releases anyway and sperm somehow gets in and the two meet, the estrogen-progestin pills will not harm your potential pregnancy as both of those hormones are what is released when you get pregnant anyway. Progestin just tells the body to not release eggs since you are "already pregnant". These types of pills are tricking your body into thinking you are already pregnant so that you won't actually get pregnant.

Otherwise condoms and barrier methods are safe as they only block the 2 from meeting.

Another way is tracking your fertility but this is not very effective at preventing pregnancy.

Only Plan B will possibly terminate what you consider a pregnancy (sperm meeting egg) as it can prevent a fertilized egg from attaching to the uterus. However most scientists and doctors do not consider a woman pregnant until after the fertilized egg implants into the uterus so this is why Plan B is not considered abortion.

The definition of conception in the medical word is when the zygote attaches to the wall of the uterus. So no, birth control doesn't terminate a pregnancy.

Hey, I'm pro choice and I think it's cool you are making a choice to use birth control.

I'd suggest sticking with condoms, maybe a diaphragm and then combine with natural fertility tracking.
