Controlling Boyfriend??

My boyfriend and I are both 16 and have been going out for almost a year. I think he might be either verbally or emotionally abusive but I can't really tell.I don't know if it's just normal relationship issues or if this is more serious. He tries to control who I talk to, who my friends are, what I wear, and what I do. We fight a lot and he usually ends up calling me a bitch or swearing. The most recent issue was that I changed my profile picture on one of my social media accounts to a selfie of me making a weird funny face instead of a picture of us together. He said that I look like a slut in the picture and demanded that I never do anything like that again. Ive never done anything that would lose his trust like cheat or flirt and he's my first real boyfriend. Should I just end it or am I doing something wrong?
