Is anyone here a NATURAL red head?

My 8 year old cousin thinks she's not pretty because she's the only one in our family with red hair. She gets bullied/teased at school because her hair is red and curly. Has anyone dealt with this or something similar with their child?

I have dark red hair, I have two cousins, boys, have orange red hair. When I was little, I hated it, hated being so different that others. In middle-high school I learned why be like everyone else when I was born to stand out! Your cousin was born to stand out, has fire in her blood, she is a rare rose in this world and should be so proud that she is giving this world something so beautiful and natural to see! Tell her blondes may have more fun, brunettes may be sweet, but red heads will be remembered always! P.s. make sure she knows there's a temper that comes with that red hair and anytime she goes crazy, she can blame it on the fire in her blood! Lol Give her hair a little ruffle for me! 👱💖

I got picked on as a child for having red curly hair. People use to call me "Ginger" "firecracker" or even worse "firecrotch". I lived in a small southern town and was the only redhead in my school. As I got older I just let it slide off and it didn't really bug me.

That's so heartbreaking. As a hair stylist I'm in LOVE with red hair. My SO has beautiful red hair and we are hoping our sons hair turns red later on also. Tell her she's unique and special! People pay big money to achieve that hair colour in salons.

My sister is! I'm kind of a mix with blonde and Brown so it's not as obvious. My sister hated her hair when she was younger, even talked about dying it. However my parents didn't let her and now she absolutely loves it!

Everybody LOVES my red hair. I admit, I dye it blonde, I just love the summery look of it, but most people love redhead girls. I think redhead boys get teased a lot more..unfortunately.
