My wife and I are wanting to seriously starting trying to conceive soon. We are a same sex couple so we will need to use donor sperm. We want to try the "turkey baster" method at home first as we are not flush with cash (we live comfortably and I have no doubts about being able to afford a child we just don't have the means to spend thousands trying to get pregnant). We had a friend agree to be a donor but when the time came he backed out (frustrating!) I am not currently comfortable asking anyone else I know to donate (still racking my brain so that could change). So my question is if there is any affordable way of going about this or should I just resign to the fact that I will most likely not have a child?
