Implantation or period?

Ok so here's the deal... my period wasn't due til the 10th. On the 5th I started spotting mid day a little bit and then it continued to get heavy on the 6th by today (the 7th) it was already getting lighter and tonight it's back to spotting. Normally I start off pretty heavy and then it takes about 4-5 days for me to get back to light spotting. It's weird for me to be early and this isn't a normal period for me. Could it be implantation?? Or is it just my period??
