What's wrong with me? Help tmi

I treated a yeast infection and I've done this before, but this time it's like the medicine isn't coming out. It usually comes out the same night I put it in, I wear a pad to bed because it does. But the pad was clean and now when I wipe I still see the cottage cheese like discharge but it's like the medicine (monistat) mixed with the discharge and now the discharge is like super thick and crummy, I feel disgusting and I'm wanting to have sex with my so but not like this? How do I clean out my vagina because it's not doing a very good job at self cleaning. Added- I feel like I should mention that there's no more burning or itching like the yeast infection is gone.
