How can I get over it?

I was raped 3 months ago. I've informed everyone of it. But I've become addicted to weed so I don't have to deal with it, but can I deal with it? If so how? I've seen doctors and they say I have all these things wrong with me and are filling me up on medication. And I'm still smoking weed. How can I stop? Please help me

Talk therapy. Talk therapy saved my life. I would find a counselor.. See who takes your insurance and then read about them online. Usually the website has a bio about them, or you can find reviews on them. And go for it. Be honest. Bare it all. What me and my counselor do is reassociate triggers with new memories. All of the things that used to send me in a spiral, now I am trying to attach new memories to them. And I am trying to find happiness in the worst of my memories. It is really helping. You could find one who specializes in emotional trauma and addiction. It sounds like that would be good for you. I am sorry love... Please fight to get better. It's hard but I don't know where id be if I don't have someone to talk to and I didn't fight hard to be okay again.

You need to start talking to a person or a psychologist about the problems, before sorting the weed out you need to sort yourself out! After speaking things through it could take a while to get back to being yourself. The second step once you feel comfortable in yourself is to tackle the weed. Whether that's with doctors or AA. You need find God and i know you may say where was he when this happened but he was there feeling the pain you was going through too. But he is the only person that has helped me through physical and emotional scars in my life that no drugs could have. Because ince your not high anymore the pain is still there. So only our creator can help you through this in your life i promise start to put all that pain, hurt, and angry into God and he will charge your life. And you will lose focus and go back to what makes the human flesh feels good and that's okay we are not prefect and he knows that but keep trying until he feels that hold in your soul. I know how you feel i have been there before. Know that he knows how you feel too. Love you from a imperfect person and i hope this help you sweetheart.
