US Ultrasound schedule?

Whats the usual schedule for ultrasounds, screenings, and appointments in the US if you're not high risk?

Answer

Some people only get one but typically if nothing goes wrong the most you get is 4. One early (6-8 weeks). An NT scan if you opt for that which is typically done around 12-13 weeks. You will always have an anatomy scan at 18-22 weeks and sometimes if your doctor wants to see babies size or position you will get a growth scan at about 28-37weeks

I am not high risk & have been blessed with a Ultrasound every visit so far & I had to opt out all screening because my insurance does not cover it (because its not medically necessary)

I had my first appointment at 8W•4D it was a transvaginal ultrasound where they check if the baby is alive w/ a beating heart.

Second appointment at 13W•2D was a abdominal ultrasound to check the growth & heart rate

My third appointment I'll be 18W•5D and that will be my anatomy scan to really check in detail the babies size & growth

If there are no issues I believe they do one first trimester to confirm, neuchal translucency, anatomy scan, and then maybe one more towards the end to weigh baby and confirm it is head down. I've had complications all 4 my pregnancies (one loss, 3 gestational diabetes, two placenta previa, one with a subchorronic bleed) so I've had a lot more ultrasounds than this,  it's fun to see the baby more but the complications are stressful.
