Name spelling preference?

Hi everyone, my partner and I like the name Keira for a girl. We're in the UK and he has an  Irish background, so we're not sure whether to go traditional with spelling. Which do you prefer? I'd like it to be pronounced "keera".

I voted "Kiera" only because "I before E except after C, unless it's like "A" in neighbor and weigh". With that ingrained into my head in elementary school I think I would pronounce Keira "Kay-ra" or "ka-E-ra".

I read the first spelling like Keera, the second like Key-air-ah and the last like See-air-ah.

This is our pick for a girl too. Good choice! My DH and I just had this conversation. My biggest thing was that it is spelled in such a way that it won't be mispronounced. We did some online searches that spoke the name which helped.

We're naming one of our girls Keira! (Twins) if my SO had his way we would have spelled it Kira. We have Kaylee Paige and Keira Jane. :)
