My brother eloped 😳 RANT

My s.o.'s brother and wife eloped yesterday. She had fussed about getting her engagement ring for years and the last two has been 100% about wedding planning. They still live with her parents, have a seven years old.... I am so excited they eloped! I think it's so sensible for them and should have been their plan from the get go as they always talked about eloping in Vegas. Anyways, my relationship with his now wife has always been rocky but has gotten especially rocky since she has been very ignorant about my infertility. However it's gotten much better. I was asked to stay home for their elopement. Aside from the fact i have been really wanting to be engaged recently, their elopement has thrown me into a sickening jealous sadness. I feel so beyond selfish. I want something meaningful for us to celebrate as it's never our turn. I'm so happy for them and heir daughter and kinda glad to skip the big day that was set for next summer. I'm just sick of not having my own accomplishments be good enough to celebrate with others. Please tell me how horribly selfish i am because i feel i just need to be knocked down a few! 😢
