Baby Shower Chaos!

Our baby shower for little Waylon was a success, though it was not easily managed. The food was amazing and we got literally everything we needed, plus more for Waylon. Blessed doesn't even cover it and I'm thrilled to say we have some incredible friends and family. The "not easily managed" part was the pop up storm that decided to intrude on the shower. After about 45 minuets of strong winds and a total downpour, we lost power. Not for a few minuets, but for a few hours. Typically, this wouldn't be horrible.. But considering I decided to have a baby shower on literally the hottest day of the week, with temperatures at almost 100, this momma was miserable! The shower ended early but nonetheless, our friends and family stuck around to help with whatever I needed. So, after 2 hours of opening gifts, 3 hours with no power, and crying all of my makeup off.. Our shower was a complete success and now we're one step closer to meeting little Waylon in a few short weeks! 💙
