Early maternity appointments in UK... Advice?

So I'm wondering if any mums/mums to be in the UK can give me any advice/insight...

I called Maternity direct (the number you call in my area) 2.5 weeks ago and left my number. They called back a week later to get my address etc so they could send me my blood test appointment and first scan.

That was 1.5 weeks ago now and I've heard nothing, and received nothing in the post.

Im just feeling a little worried, because last time I had a booking in appointment with the midwife around now, and I haven't even heard anything back :(
