Shower non-invites
Did anyone not invite someone to their shower due to conflict or trying to avoid conflict?
For me, it's my MIL. Ever since we told them that we are expecting, we have gotten feedback from family/friends that she has told them "don't talk to me about it" when they have congratulated her/them on becoming grandparents (it's their first). We don't have a great relationship with them anyways but were still considerate and called them about the baby.
I really don't want to invite her to our shower as she never has anything positive to say, is not supportive, etc. This is a happy time for us and our first child and just want people there who support us. Yes, I'm also trying to avoid conflict and kicking her out when she makes rude comments (been through this before at my bridal showers).
