Brown discharge???

I am currently freaking out because for the last 3-ish days I've had this brown discharge coming out. I've been reading all over and searching for what it could be and my period is supposed to be here in 3 days. I am on the pill and I and terrified to think that it is anything other than old period blood... Please help!!!
