What is a Fetal Echo?

What can I expect getting a Fetal Echo is it an ultrasound or is it heart monitor on my belly? I'm curious.

An echo is an ultrasound of the heart. So they will look at the baby's heart with an ultrasound, they're looking at the structure of the heart, the valves and how the heart is beating. Hope everything looks good!

A very detailed ultrasound to look at he babies heart. Done by a tech that specializes in it and read by a specialist. :) usually to follow up an anatomy survey with a questionable finding or a family history of a heart defect or some sort of clinical concern for an abnormality. Sometimes if the heart views aren't cleared due to maternal obesity or fetal position a fetal echo is asked for. Good luck.
