Is crystal light bad during pregnancy?

I'm addicted to crystal light and probably wouldn't get my water intake without it but someone told me it was bad for you when your pregnant? Is this true?

Crystal light is bad in general. It contains aspartame (also found in diet sodas) which is basically an artificial sugar that can lead to cancer.

I drink it all the time. That and other drink mixes. My Dr okay'd it. I'm currently 37 weeks with a very healthy little man.

I just drink tea or mix in pink lemonade ( my wife likes it) and It helps get me to drink more water.

The only reason I have heard to stay away is because it hasn't been studied enough, in anyone, much less pregnant women. There's no telling what effects it might have.

I cut our artificial sweeteners completely during my first pregnancy and haven't gone back. If I wasn't willing to subject my son to them, why would I subject myself to them?

I'm not sure. But it taste great, I just hate the fact that before I was pregnant, it made me go to the restroom like I was! I can't imagine drinking it while pregnant.

I'd stop. My doc told me the only thing I can add is real fresh fruit juice. So a lime or lemon or orange wedge
