What kind of nipples do you have?

I read an article that ten to twenty percent of women in the world have flat/inverted nipples, which is more common than people who have blue/green eyes.
And I'm curious, can you still breastfeed even if your nipples are flat/inverted? Or do you have to use breast pump?

I had flat nipples before I had my daughter, however the midwives told me that pumping would help them to "come out" and I did breastfeed my daughter for 15 months, with the help of a nipple shield for the first 7 months :)

My mom had flat/inverted nipples, and was unable to breastfeed me at all. That was almost 30 years ago, so perhaps technology/pumps/remedies have come a long way since then, I don't know. Luckily I did not get the same kind of nipples as her, mine are normal.
