Did you go through depression after having your baby?

By depression i mean crazy thoughts pf hurting you or your baby...i would never hurt my baby i adore her i would give my life for her in a sec but i am dealing with some scary thoughts

I did. Everytime my son would start crying i wanted to hurt if not kill myself. I would be in the bath tub trying to get time to myself and if i heard my son crying I'd want to go underwater to try n drown myself. I reached out to my ob n she said it was normal to feel that way. That it would go away by the tkme he was 5 months.

I had postpartum depression. Antidepressants helped me out during the first three months. After that, I was off medication.

I had baby blues i guess thats what they call it after my first for only two days. i just cried and asked my husband to hold me and that i just wanted to be a good mom. Nothing extreme. Never happened again im having baby 3

I did with my first. I didn't want anything to do with him. I got antidepressants and they helped so much. I'm currently pregnant with baby 3 and just started anti depressants yesterday to avoid getting PPD again.. I did this with my second pregnancy too. Definitely talk to the doctor and get some medication, it takes about 2 weeks to kick in but it makes you feel so much better.
