HCG levels not doubling?!

I'm at 5 weeks and had a blood test both Monday and today and the nurse says they are rising but not doubling... Anyone experience this? How did it turn out? I have to go in for more blood work and a sonogram on Friday...

I was told the same today! I'm feeling very disheartened. I just found out I'm pregnant, had a doctor's appointment today, mentioned that I spotted very light yesterday, and Doctor decides to do an ultrasound. So very early I'm 4 weeks/4 days, so too early to see a baby! But I got blood work done today, need to repeat on Friday. Also, the doctor said she saw bleeding in the ultra sound. What did they tell you besides your hcg levels?
