confused when to start my birth control pills??

I'm really confused on when to start taking these? I know you have to do it every day at the same time so I was going to wait until tomorrow so that the time I take them was in the morning when I first get up, but now I'm not sure if I should wait until Sunday? I started my period last Saturday and it should be gone within the next two days, so should I just wait until that's done before I start, or can I just start tomorrow? Would there be left over pills if I start in the middle of the week, or does that all kinda just work itself out? it kind of seems to be saying don't start taking them until you get your period but mine is almost over, does this mean wait a month to start taking them??

Doctors usually tell us to start the pill on the first day of our period or at least in the first 5 days of our period so it will be effective right away. You can start it anytime, though. But if you don't start it up to 5 days when you're on your period, you'll have to wait at least 7 days until they get effective. Most of the pills take up to 7 days to get effective but depends on the pill.
You can start them on Sunday if you want, many women start them on Sunday so they wouldn't be on their period during the weekends
