So this happened
Yesterday we missed the butterfly Pokemon and it was all my daughter could talk about. So I wanted to surprise her with it when she got out of school today and as it was a torrential downpour I drove around my neighborhood slowly looking for them. We have one weird street that has these massive town homes. Anyways, as I was driving, I saw a group of townhouses get struck by lightening and catch on fire! An elderly man came out with his dog, and I stopped and got them in my car and we called 911. Then a marine ran out (I think he was getting ready for the Dallas police officer funeral taking place just down the road) with his dog, I took his dog while he bravely checked the other unit for people and pets. Needless to say the fire went on for quite awhile. I feel so awful for these people who have surely lost a lot, but am so thankful to have been at the right place at the right time to help! I took these pics from across the road after the fire trucks came and the people and pets were being looked after.
