If you have multiples did they run in your family? And did you have identical or fraternal twins?

The question for the poll is do twins run in your family? And what type of twins did you have?

Fraternal twins are the set influenced by gehes. Identical twins are completely random and chances of having them are not increased or decreased by genetics. Fraternal twins are also only influenced by the mother's genes (passed down from HER father or HER mother; still, baby's maternal side) and have no influence whatsoever from the father's genes, the baby's paternal side. So, a husband can have 10 sets of twins on his side and it wouldnt make a difference for YOUR offspring together, but his sister would have a huge increased chance of having twins. Just like sex is determined by the baby's father/sperm and not the mother

Twins run on both sides of my family, however we have no living sets of twins. 😞 One always passed at or shortly after birth. 
My multis started out triplets (naturally) and we lost one pretty early on.

So far everything looks great with both of them. 😊  I am both nervous and scared, but I'm sure everything will work out great. 
They will be a first for my family in over 50years!

My grandmother is a fraternal twin and their are 6 other fraternal sets in my family. My husbands grandmother is also a fraternal twin . Our girls will be the first frat set in 2 generations!!

My dad is a fraternal twin, and our first pregnancy was mono/mono twin boys (which is random, not genetic). Our second pregnancy (pregnant now) was triplets. Both times on our first try, and Ive never had any sort of medical intervention or medicine. In fact, on my mom's side PCOS and endometriosis runs rampant, literally every female has one or both, and they thought I did too.

Not in my family, I'm having identical and they don't run in families. No one knows for sure why a single egg splits into 2 babies. They say if ur older (35+) sometimes there is a higher chance with older eggs. I'm not sure how accurate that is I'm 27. Anyway identical twins are a mutation of nature. Gotta love it!!
