A lot of places will fire you for doing it. If you plan on giving your friends and family discounts, you need to check with management and make sure it's ok. I use to work at Walmart and know people that got fired for giving their family their discount cards to use. If you work retail and want to give your family discounts, you may gave to go shopping with them on a day off. And you pay for it, and have them give you the money.
