My sister is about 9 wks pregnant. Today she went for her first ultrasound. She said the tech wouldn't show them the baby at all and said she would need to come back and "discuss the findings with the doctor". She will see the doc.Monday. Now she's afraid the baby didn't have a heartbeat or maybe isn't there anymore. I'm trying to keep her calm. All my ultrasounds, even at 8 wks they allowed us to see the baby/heartbeat. I told her I doubt they would just send her home if something was really wrong. Do you think it could be twins or something? And the tech can't disclose that because it's technically a new diagnosis and has to be explained by the doctor? I'm an EMT. About to have my own baby, but not an OB/GYN expert.
