Can you still have sex with the IUD?

I'm thinking about getting the IUD so I would like to know can you still have sex with the IUD? Also I hear so many story's about the IUD and I'm a little nervous to get next month.

Oh honey the IUD is so that you can have sex without getting pregnant.... You're kinda supposed to have sex, it's mostly the whole point other than period control for some ladies.

Well it's a birth control so you can have sex. All of our bodies are different just because it didn't work for others doesn't mean it won't work for you. I have heard pro and cons from different people, but you won't really know until you try.
