Not period related but about dogs.

I have my heart set out that I want to adopt a putbull puppy, I spend days with pitts sometimes when I go stay a couple days with my boyfriend. He has 3, everything is fine except their saliva gives me itchiness and I get hives. Rarely though my eyes get really red. I want a pit because they're love bugs, they really do help with my depression. Is there any shots I can get that'll help me with this allergy?
