Last Friday my doctor told my husband and I that due to medical reasons I needed to get my implanon (birth control implant in my arm) removed. He gave us no instructions on do's and don'ts. Well we had sex late Sunday night/early Monday morning and of course we didn't use a condom. The day I got my implant removed, which was Thursday morning, he asked if I had had sex in the last 5 days, and if so once my implant is removed I may get pregnant immediately. Now I've always thought sperm only lived for 3 but apparently it lives for 5. Does anyone know the correct answer?? If so, is there a chance I might be pregnant when I go in for my 4 week check up?
