Truck driver hubby?

Question

So my husband has just taken a job as a long haul truck driver. He will be gone through the week and home on the weekends. We've been trying for over a year with no success so this new job significantly decreases our chances. 
Any tips on how to do it with him only being home 2 nights a week? 
I already use ovulation tests and preseed. 
A friend suggested taking his sperm and then inserting it on my own come ovulation time. Lmao I don't think that's an option.

My husband is in military and our docto said that if he is gone for more than 3-4 days he needs to "take care of himself" so old sperm is released and new is ready when he gets home.  Good luck to you guys!!

My first was a souvenir from doing a truck ridealong for a few weeks (I had been watching ovulation here on Glow, but my period had been so crazy lately that I honestly didn't think pregnancy was possible). Now that we are looking at trying for #2, I just have to hope that one of his four (consecutive) days off each month will be in my ovulation window.

My husband travels for work too.. It has been extremely difficult.  I actually ended up talking to my boss about it and now go with him on business trips if he is supposed to be gone during my fertile window.  While we still are t pregnant, it has helped reduce stress knowing I can go with him if I need too.
