Flat head?

Question

Anyone else have a baby whose head is a bit flat in the back? Went to the ped for 4 month appt yesterday and he said not to worry... I think it's from the rock n play and not enough tummy time... Are we alone?

My son got a flat head from the rock n play too :/ not enough cushion. 
I even tried putting a padding blanket too but didn't work. 
He sleeps in a pack n play now and I got a special pillow to help form his head.

Mine is on the right side from sleeping... Dr recommended therapy to fix it I hope that works. I hope she likes tummy time soon, I just do it until he gets mad and then roll him (he's also too lazy to roll), then he calms down and back to the tummy he goes. Try a mirror? They seem to like admiring their cute selves!

My son has this but his is from having to sleep in boppy pillow because of acid reflux. I feel bad because when he was born he had a perfect shaped head but I've done what is medically needed for his safety so I just try not to worry about it.

My daughter has a little flat spot on one side that the doctor brought up. She said just to make sure to have her look the other way more and she will recheck at 6 months.

A lot of people don't know that you have to actually "shape" a babies head. To much time on their backs or sides and their big soft heads will flatten out. My older two are 13 and 11 the doctor told me about turning them frequently but now with my 4 month old they don't even mention it. I have a sorta friend who refused to listen to her pediatrician her mom sisters and me and she totally flatten her poor sons head! He had to have a helmet to fix it. After 6 months old babies bones begin to harden and she waited to long! Just keep babies turned like little rotisserie chickens and their heads will shape nicely. 😊

At 2 months I started worrying about my baby getting a flat spot, I asked the doc and she said that her head looked great and normal but even so, i stopped letting her sleep in the Rock n play because I really think that wasn't helping ! She couldn't turn her head to the side like she can when she sleeps in the bassinet on the pack n play. So she's been sleeping in that for 2 months now and her head is looking better IMO

Us too!!!! But our little guy only got it on his left side. He had a traumatic delivery and only looked to the left and slept to the left for the first month. We went to the chiro and that helped a BUNCH but didn't fix the huge flat spot 😭😭😭 so we bought a boppy headrest off amazon. SO WORTH IT!!!! We use it everywhere, bouncy, swing, car seat, bassinet, stroller. It's been two weeks and already seeing a huge improvement! It's a night and day difference!

Totally normal. All three kids had it and once they were able to sit up on their own their heads started rounding out. I know there are different levels of severity but if your doctor isn't concerned, all is probably ok. Cute baby!
