How much did you spend to fill your hospital bag?

My husband and I are going to pack ours soon, and I'm wondering how much it would cost for all the things we need. I feel like it shouldn't be too expensive because we have most of the stuff already, but I want to be prepared in case we have to buy more than I realized or if I forgot to put something on my list. 
Also, if you have a suggestion for something you brought/wish you had brought that isn't on most lists I can Google up, let me know! :D

I had my first baby 6 months ago. I spent way too much money and way over packed my bag. Half of the things I brought never even came out of the bag during my four-day stay in the hospital (I was induced, it took forever). I would say essentials for me were: 
socks 
chapstick 
face wipes 
deoderant 
bathrobe or nightgown from home
*Phone chargers* super important.

Honestly, that was all I needed, I brought lotions, shampoo and conditioner (the hospital provided all of that) and so they never left the bag. Look at Pinterest for ideas if you already haven't. If you care about makeup and hair, bring those things. Personally, I didn't care about that at the time. Good luck and congrats!

I had a scheduled csection (breach baby) and honestly only pulled out my deodorant and toothbrush/paste toward the end of my stay (gross I know, but I had a catheter in for the first day the it was so hard to stand and move around after).

I do wish I'd brought an eyemask to get more sleep - there were a bunch of lights and an annoying blue light on the smoke detector above the bed. And maybe some foam ear plugs to cut down on the little noises - not the baby crying, but other random sounds that woke me up.

I actually packed when I started my contractions, I didn't use anything besides toothbrush, deodorant , lipgloss. I loved hospital gowns for breastfeeding, didn't like my clothes. For baby I only needed one outfit, bulb syringe. I live a few mins away from the hospital so I could always send hubby if I needed to.

Don't look at Pinterest. You will overpack.

You need a set of comfy clothes to leave in and your phone charger. The baby will need an outfit to go home in and a car seat. Oh and toothbrush and toothpaste.

I overpacked and thought I would want to get up and shower and get ready every day. I didn't shower till my last day because of the pain. I stayed mostly in hospital robes and used the disposable underwear the hospital gives you because mine definitely did not work with the bleeding.

Seriously, do not stress yourself out about it. Pack a small overnight bag... That's all you need.

I bought two nighties , cheap underwear and some mini toiletries. Oh and a couple puzzle books! Everything else I already had in my home

I definitely overpacked.  The only things I used were my travel size shampoo/conditioner, deodorant, toothbrush (hospital supplied toothpaste), phone charged and adult diapers. I highly recommend the adult diapers! Way more comfortable then pads!!! The rest never even left my bag.

I only bought travel size toiletries, underwear and a robe. For clothes I packed what i wanted to go home in, then my clothes for my hospital stay; an old pair of nike shorts that were stretchy, the robe i bought, fuzzy socks i already had, the new underwear i bought, a workout tanktop and a sports bra.  I packed my makeup bag, a hairbrush, tooth brush, deodorant, lotion, shampoo and conditioner. For baby i packed three outfits. All were newborn size but were different styles in case of varying weather since baby was born in May. After i had my baby girl and got to shower i wore the sports bra and shorts under my robe because I exclusively breastfed so i needed easy access. I wouldnt by a nursing bra just yet if you plan to breastfeed , wait until your milk comes in and then find a good fitting one.

I have a 10 week old and it feels like forever ago. I packed like 3 outfits and def didn't need it as I wore a hospital gown the whole time. I would def say chap stick and face lotion, the air is so dry. Bring headphones too. Sometimes you need to zone out and focus on what you're going through. I would get some mags or a book too.
