When do you move your child to a toddler bed?

My son turned two last month, and he's still in his crib. I feel like I should be moving him to a toddler bed, but he hasn't figured out how to get out of the crib yet haha.. What should I do?

My son was 3 before we put him in the crib without the sides on it. We have a larger house and he sleeps on the opposite  side, and I didn't want him waking up and wondering.

My son will be 5 in a couple months an I tried to let him sleep in his own bed but I ended up getting anxiety smh even though he is a bed hog I missed him. Maybe we'll try again in a couple months.

My son started climbing out at like 13 months.. I didn't want to move him so soon but I didn't want to risk him being hurt.. My nephew was 3 before my sister moved him cause that was when he started escaping.. My other nephew is almost 4 (same sister) and he's still in the crib.. My niece (same sister) is 18 months and already in toddler bed.. It's all about when they start escaping and their safety..

If he's happy and sleeping and not climbing out, I wouldn't change it and risk interupting his good sleeping habits! No big deal, or pressure!

If he isn't climbing out himself, don't stress it. Once he's able to escape lol, time for a toddler bed.

If you and him are comfortable, keep him in it. I moved my daughter at 15 months because she was constantly getting out and getting hurt.
