Spotting and cramping at 5 weeks!?

Question

I just tested positive the other day. I had some light brown spotting and cramps before I tested and the spottibg went away. I've had the cramps still off and on. They aren't bad just feel like I'm getting my period. But I started spotting again today and this time its light pink but I haven't seen any blood clots and no back pain. 
Is this normal? And when should I go to the doctor about it? My appointment isn't until 8-12

I thought I was getting my period so I went a bought a huge box of tampons. One week I spotted brown, the next week I spotted red, then I got a positive test. It's totally normal to spot that early.

Update. Thank you ladies for your advice. I actually went ahead and went to the ER. I had to get a rhogam shot because I'm O negative. Anytime I bleed or spot from now on I have to get a shot.

I would definitely call them. They told me the cramping was pretty normal but if I had any bleeding whatsoever to call!
