When do I tell her?

I really want to tell my 6 year old that I'm pregnant. She has been begging us for a sibling for a long time. My issue is that I haven't been to the doctor, but I've had a blood test.  What are your thoughts?

To add to this, we want to tell our parents next weekend by having her wear a "soon to be big sister" shirt.

Tell her! I think it's important to communicate and be open with kids. It teaches them to do the same. She'll be so excited!

I have a seven year old, we'll be telling him if all is good at my first doctor appointment in a few days. I'm having terrible nausea and really need him to understand why he has so many more chores this summer.

I told my son about a week after my positive test but he's 9 and has wanted a sibling for a long time but it's really scary cuz I don't want something to happen and have to tell him but  I felt he needed to kno y mommy was so tired and crabby

Also make sure it's clear if you're not ready to tell the whole world yet. Explain to her that it's a special secret you're only sharing with family for now.

I'd definitely wait. I told her after my ultrasound at 8 weeks the baby had a heartbeat and I thought everything was okay, well at 12 weeks there wasn't a heartbeat. She's 6 and she took it very hard, she still talks about it.

I would wait. I told my daughter she's 3 I miscarried in Jan at 13 weeks, we chose not to tell her out of hoping for less heartbreak and hopefully getting pregnant again but about a month and a half ago I snapped because she keeps talking about baby baby baby and I told her I didn't have a baby anymore, low and behold I found out the next week I was pregnant again. It's a little bit different for you maybe your daughter would understand but my Dr suggested wait til 1st trimester. That's what we are doing with both my daughter and our 10 year old son, it tore him up pretty bad too.
