Mine said yes throughout the pregnancy to prevent miscarriage and gestational diabetes

I'm still ttc but my Obgyn said if I get pregnant do not stop taking it if I am on it when I get pregnant

My dr told me abruptly stopping taking Metformin in the 1st trimester could increase the risk of miscarriage. Please consult with your dr before starting or stopping your meds.

The first time I got pregnant my doctor couldn't give me a straight answer, it was so frustrating. I stopped taking met as I thought it would be safer to stop as the doctor said it was my choice, I ended up having a chemical pregnancy a week later. I'm pregnant again and have decided to stay on it and so far so good. I've been told by others who have been on the same meds to keep taking them until you're past the first 8wks.
