Where is the baby sleeping ?

We are going to have a baby girl in early December. We are thinking the baby sleeping in the playard for the first couple months with us in our bedroom. Maybe after 3-4 months she will be sleeping in her crib in her own room. I am wondering should I get a mattress for playard or only blankets is fine ? This is our first child so I need you guys advices , thanks!

I would cover the bottom with a single sheet, put a light blanket on top of it, a blanket on her when she sleeps and that's it..it's not necessary to put much in

I would  get a mattress and sheet.  Don't use blankets.  Babies shouldn't have blankets or anything with them in the crib or pack n play. Warm pj's that's it!

Use the crib so she will be used to it. Transitioning later could be a problem.
