What does implantation bleeding look like?

I have been off bcp for a month now. Didn't experience a withdrawl bleed for the first month. About 3 days ago I noticed a very light pink orange discharge. Second day it was more red, and pink sometimes, and then dark brown. Today is the third day and it is brown and sticky. It doesn't seem like a period at all to me. Could this be implantation bleeding? I am irregular naturally off bcp, so I didn't expect to get AF after a month. Is it possible to spot dark brown discharge and it is implantation bleeding? I don't know what implantation bleeding looks like. I have been reading about it via internet. Any ladies with experiences similar to this with dark brown spotting and got a bfp? Any advice is much appreciated!
