Baby Ben was scheduled to be born Wednesday July 20th. Instead I woke up at 3am Monday morning with unconfortable contractions. I was unable to go back to sleep so I stayed up and monitored contractions until my doctors office opened at 8:30. My mom and I had breakfast, then headed over to the office. Surprisingly enough I was already dilated 5! So we called Daddy to be ( who was working 3&1/2 hours away) and he high tailed it to labor and delivery. By around 1 I had my IV and my husband had made it there. Then we waited ..... Around 3 I decided the contractions were unbearable and I had an epidural. Well, it only numbed my legs, not my back or stomach. So I cried through a few more contractions until they got it adjusted. Around 7pm it was time to push! And then, at 7:13 on July 18th, 2016, Bently James Clark was born! We did an hour of skin to skin. It is now 3am the following morning and this momma has not gotten any sleep! I'm too happy 😍. I had no pain what so ever when I pushed. It was a very beautiful labor. 💕💙
