My baby pukes milk, is it normal?

My baby pukes milk while she was sleeping. She coughed and pukes quite an amount of milk while her eyes still closes and she seems to be still sleeping. is it normal? I'm so worried!

Is it spit up (looks like milk, liquidy, dribbles out or comes out softly) or vomit (curdled, spews out, usually an hour or more after eating)? If it's just spit up, it could be:

Reflux: don't lay her flat for 20-30min after eating, you'll want her propped or elevated

Over feeding/over eating: if she's looking to eat sooner than her normal timeframe, consider a pacifier instead of a feeding when she's fussy in between

Tummy stretching: as their appetite grows sometimes they'll spit up while their belly is stretching

Gas bubbles: if she's breastfed you shouldn't typically need to burp after feeding from the breast, but she might. If it's a bottle feeding, you'll want to burp her about half way or every couple ounces. Sometimes they get a gas bubble and keep eating so the milk sits on top of the bubble and when it's forced out it pushes the top milk out with it.

Sounds pretty normal -babies spit up a lot, especially when lying down if they haven't been burped properly, or just because they have more chance of reflux. What's worrying you!
