My baby's omblican cord just fell off 2 days ago but this was left? Is it normal it does not hurt him

My son's looked the same yesterday. It fell off right before our 1st check up. His pediatrician said it was fine but did use some silver nitrate on it to help dry it out. You could always call the pediatric office and see if it needs to be looked at.

Should be fine. If there is an odor.. or any pus kr drainage or it doesnt heal within a week.. hot or red aroud the belly button hae it checked out. My daughters belly button was not healing and my doctor said oh its nothing.. I had an eery feeling that it was not okay and took her back 2 days later and insisted on a swab and turned out she had an MRSA infection. Scary shit. So definitely if you feel uneasy at all dont hesitate to take the baby in. I wouldnt even hesitate to put some polysporin on it and leave it open to the air. But always wash your hands before and after coming into contact with the area.

You may want to call the pediatrician and have them take a look at it. Looks like there may be some drainage in there that could be cleaned a bit.
