I woke up yesterday morning with photo #1 all over my tissue paper. Concerned from two previous miscarriages I waited through the day with some cramping. By 5pm I decided to venture to the hospital. Took them an hour to even get me a room and I was in there for 5 hours. They took their time, checked my urine, made me wait. By 10:00pm they took my blood and the hcg levels were higher than expected. According to my last menstrual period I should only be 5 weeks and 2 days. The hcg levels were showing more of a 6 weeks mark. So I chugged back the water and got ready for my ultrasound. Sadly they dragged the poor man out of bed to give me one. Felt aweful but I have barely any time open because of work.

Anyways, the ultrasound technician did his thing and the sac was apparently the size of 6 weeks and 4 days... which doesn't make too much sense because it doesn't follow my ovulation... or when I even had sex. I guess I could have conceived the 20th or the 26th.

My question is... how are my hcg levels so high, sac so big... but not fetal pole or heart beat?

Could this be an early set of twins?

Could this be an empty Sac that I will soon miscarry? I'm so worried.
