I had a due date of Thursday 14 July and no sign baby was coming. Went to my appointment that day got checked and was only 1.5 cm dilated, 70% effaced. Got hooked up to the NST to monitor me and just see where I was at. My Dr told me I was showing signs of contractions but nothing I could feel. She scheduled an appointment to induce me on the 21st just in case but she said she thinks I would have him soon! Friday went by, nothing.. I was starting to get cramps but they were tolerable. My husband drove over quite a bit of speed bumps that night. He stopped by a movie theater just for some pop corn and came back to the car where I was waiting, he started to eat the pop corn and said 'I have a feeling my son is going to come tonight, I have my popcorn, I'm ready!' Lol but... Nothing happened that night. Saturday woke up with period like cramps which were still tolerable until that night. That night I told my husband I wanted to go to the hospital and get this little guy out of me. He said no and insisted we stayed home, it's not time. I tried to go to bed but I knew I was just having more than just cramps that contractions started. Started timing them around midnight & I was getting them like 5min apart I called L&D and they said most likely if I came I would be sent home and to wait to the point where I couldn't talk or walk through them 🙄 so I tried going to sleep. Woke up around 7am on 17 July & told me husband lets go they feel worse. I walked around the house, tried eating toast which I threw up and around 8:30am we left the house. Got to the hospital around 9am and was 4cm dilated almost 5 and 80% effaced so I was admitted. Got to my room took a jet tub bath because the contractions were killing me. Got out, walked around, later got in the bath again and when I got out I couldn't take the contractions anymore I gave in and got an epidural which my plans were not to 😔 around 6pm I was 8cm and fully thinned out so they broke my water. Next time I was checked I was good to go but felt no urge to push so I was told around 7:30pm I would start pushing. Didn't end up pushing until a little after 8pm and at 8:54pm my handsome little Marcello was born 6lbs 15oz and 19 5/8 long.
