Can you get birth control without having health insurance?

I'm 34. Newly seeing someone. Not ready for a baby yet and want to be extra careful. But I don't have health insurance. Does anyone know if it's possible to get it still?

You should be able too. Some clinic do it for free, other will put you on planed parenthood which will cover it for a year and you just keep renewing each year. Just talk with your healthcare providers and see which route they say to go. Good luck.

Planned parenthood has some type of insurance you can get plan first I think.. At least Michigan has it. Otherwise you just pay out of pocket and it's like $17 a month there.

If you have a prescription, I think Walmart pharmacy has a program where you can get the generic brand for $9 a month if you don't have ins to cover it. When my ins didn't cover it, I used this, but this was about 3-4 years ago, so I'm not sure if they still do it.
