I was induced July 19th at 8 am. Labor began at 9 with mild contractions, as they increased the pitocin the contractions also increased. By 2 pm I was dilated to a 5. They increased pitocin one more time and by 3:30 my contractions got unbearable! I decided to get an iv pain med but needed to be checked first, I was at an 8 by that time and was having an increased amount of pressure and felt like I needed to push. They never gave me the iv med because within 2 minutes I was to a 9.5 and she was at the rim of my cervix. So they went ahead and got the room at up to deliver. Within 6 hard pushes my beautiful girl was born! It was so fast and I'm so proud of being able to do it without the pain meds!
