Pills & Diarrhea?

Okay, so. I tend to have diarrhea or just soft poops a good bit. And when you have dirrhea you birth control pills don't work. So.. i'm wondering I guess when I should use back up. To what extent after my poop is watery should I use a condom? For how long after that should I? Just that day or multiple days?

Also, I think I probably have IBS, but that's a whole other thing.
