What should I expect?

Tomorrow I have to get birth control, please keep in mind I'm 18 and will be going alone. I don't really know what to expect and I'm really nervous.

I would say let them know you're nervous. My doctors office is really good about settling nerves and explain things. Well done getting yourself in! You're already showing you're brave and can take charge of your life.

I'm 19 and I went to the gyno for the first time last week to be put on birth control for the first time... they put me on pills (generic of ortho try cyclen) I was scared too but nothing too weird happened. They weighed me, checked my blood pressure, I peed in a cup, they asked me family history questions, checked my boobs, and then tested me for STD's. I told them I was a virgin but they said by law they have to test everybody under 25. They stuck a cotton swab up my vagina to do the test, it hurt for a couple seconds then it was done. So far I have had no side effects from the pill! 👍
