Just posting my thoughts

I live in a family who is quite conservative, I guess, so when I like a certain thing I get called out for it A LOT. Recently, I have been over-drawing my lips because it makes me feel beautiful, my mother seems to enjoy telling me things like "Your lipstick is too dark." (Which I do have a slight agreement in the shade pictured) and "Why are you trying to look like a 'hoochie mama'?" I frequently get these comments, and she makes me take my lipstick off when I over-draw them. It's quite hurtful to me, because she is telling me that it isn't okay for me to feel beautiful. She disagrees with my music taste as well. This one is understood, because a lot of people are uncomfortable with rock variations, however, I was very much into the band called Twenty-One Pilots which is incredibly harmless compared to the majority of others. I asked her if I could go to a concert of theirs, and she threatened to take my music and phone away. Needless to say, after many confrontations, I have been forced into hiding my likes from my family.
