Ovulation and bleeding

For the past three months I have bled through my ovulation. Literally from the day it starts to when it stops and then my period comes late. This month I took the daily ovulation tests at home and got a positive July 11th. My fertile window according to this app (and when I bleed) started today. And I just started bleeding. So what could the bleeding mean? Because it's not a surge.
