How safe is plan B?

My parents don't know I'm sexually active and I'd like to keep it that way... I've used protection every time but wish to try sex with my boyfriend without. How safe is Plan B (taken immediately) since I can't get any other form of contraception?

It's different for everyone. I've heard that you can't use it more than six times a year. If it works it should either bring on your period or if you're already on it the pill will extend it. For you though your best bet would be birth control. I used plan B three times this year already and every single time I have to go in there and buy it I have an emotional breakdown for days. It's really embarrassing for me.

Plan B is not a form of birth control that should just be just taken just because. Its for emergencies

Your best option is to get put on birth control. Usually you can go to your local Women's Center or Health Department if you aren't comfortable going to your doctor. If you're not 18, you might need someone older to sign for you. Or you could just do what a lot of girls do, and just tell your parents your periods are killing you and ask for them to take you to a doctor about being put on birth control

Safe but that's not what it's meant for  have you tried planned parenthood for the birth control pill?

I took plan B and it messes my period up bad. I was almost two weeks early and I felt awful. I would only recommend it for emergencies. If you don't have to take it, don't.
